feed me, friday
A rumbly in my tumbly, courtesy of [info]thefridayfive.

1. What was the last thing that you ate?

I just had a Dannon Light 'n Fit (not Light 'n' Fit, but Light 'n Fit) strawberry banana yogurt. It was okay. My mouth tastes like maltodextrin.

2. Who was the last person you shared a meal with?

My dad, last night. He emailed me the menu from his office cafeteria (I miss the dining hall), and the sandwich of the day was turkey cranberry rustica, so I made him steal one for me. It was not as tasty as expected.

3. What is your favorite all time dish (recipes welcome)?

I have to pick just one? No. Chicken vindaloo, various spicy sushi rolls, pasta with chicken and vegetables, clam chowder and sourdough bread, my mom's homemade chili with cornbread, my mom's homemade sauce, apple-cornbread stuffing, peanut butter and jelly/banana/chocolate/etc. pancakes, Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches, my dad's spaghetti and meatballs, chicken burritos, tuna salad the way I make it. I have no recipes, because that's how we roll.

4. If you could eat one thing for an entire year, what would it be?

'Could'? Don't you mean 'had to'? That would suck, and I'd pick pasta with chicken and vegetables, because you can at least change that up.

5. If you could have dinner with any five people (dead or alive) who would they be?

Who am I currently married to? And do Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart count as one person? Yes, okay, so I would have Eurythmics and Kara DioGuardi on one side of the table, being musical, and then Hugh Laurie and Tina Fey and Lauren Graham on the other side, being hilarious.

And an expensive one, at that. That'll be $100 for the pleasure of my comment.

AHH! do you know a place to find clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl in the city?! because i swear, that's like the first thing i do when i get home. of course, new york sourdough pales in comparison to california sourdough, but still! i could pretend! or . . . something. god. now i'm hungry.

(and, because you're special, these were the lyrics to my food song for julian: "yummy yummy i've got shrimp in my tummy and it tastes so very good." insert all foods eaten and repeat again and again. the kid apparently loves it. hah!)

also! MEAT! i'm crazy busy the next week - my parents are coming on thursday and i have to gain four pounds. but maybe wednesday? during the day? are you working? i might be babysitting, but. that's up in the air. or tuesday when i get back from jersey. though tuesday is gilmore girls and i still haven't seen this week's episode because stupid torrents are like, NOT WORKING. DON'T THEY UNDERSTAND I NEED MY TV?!

No! None that live up to San Francisco, anyway. I usually just get sourdough bread bowls from Panera and put Progresso clam chowder in them, which gets the job done.

(Aw! Also, I find it so adorable that he is a toddler eating shrimp cocktail.)

MEAT! I work Wednesday. Tuesday is also the first new episode of House since forever--maybe we could get takeout meat and have a TV-watching party? Do you do House? I may have this past Gilmore Girls on tape, too...
