a lot of catching up to do
God, I really fucking love Lily Allen. I'm so late to this party.

FRIDAY FIVE FOR DECEMBER 9TH (OR SO THEY SAY): CELEBRITIES:

1. Are you related to anyone famous or do you have any famous friends? If so, who?
Family lore says we're related to Sophia Loren.

2. Do you have any autographs or memorabilia?
I have that CD that Gavin signed. I respect him. And then the special edition of Tusk, some Fleetwood Mac books that took a lot of digging to find, a bunch of other crap on vinyl that I don't really care about anymore, the framed back cover of Rumours which I emphatically do care about, a crew t-shirt from the Enchanted tour, a teddy bear, and ticket stubs from everything I saw between 1999 and 2005. And a Platinum Weird press kit.

3. If you could meet any 3 celebrities who would they be?
Kara, Ryan, and I'm counting Ed Robertson and Steven Page as one person.

4. What would you want to be famous for doing?
Nothing, and sketch comedy.

5. Who's the most annoying celebrity?
Nicole Richie.

FRIDAY FIVE FOR JANUARY 4TH:

1. Do you have any pets? If so, how many, and what are their names?
Sherlock, a Beagle. He's totally shaped like Snoopy.

2. What was your very first pet? Do you remember its name?
A hamster named Coolit. Interests included: gnawing my dad's hand off. When it died, my grandfather made a little wooden gravestone for it, and my dad was like, "YES!" Actually, before that I think I had a goldfish, and then my dad dropped it on the yellow linoleum floor in our apartment (apparently we're destined to have yellow linoleum floors) and couldn't find it.

3. Is there an animal you would never have as a pet?
Cats are evil.

4. What common pet have you always wanted but never had? Why not?
None.

5. What wild animal (extinct or not) would you own if you didn't have to worry about its adjustment or the cost of captivity?
Nicole Richie.

FRIDAY FIVE FOR JANUARY 26TH: JOBS:

1. Would you rather have a fun job that doesn't pay well or a boring job that does?
Boring job that does. I can buy fun.

2. Would you sacrifice your morals for a job?

Depends on which morals, and which job.

3. Would you ever take a job that requires you to be in costume?
Wouldn't you?

4. Would you like fries with that?
Yes.

5. What is your fantasy job?

Nicole Richie. Porn star. Kind of the same thing.

FRIDAY FIVE FOR FEBRUARY 2ND:

1. How far back can you trace your family tree?
With our powers combined, I think we can get back to my great-great-grandparents. But personally, I can't even remember who my parents are.

2. What is the most interesting (or strange) thing you've heard about one of your relatives?
So, there's this story about how one of my maternal grandmother's relatives had an abusive husband, so one day while he was sleeping, she took a cheese grater to his face, which is like...I don't know why she's proud of that. That's a creepy-ass story. I guess it's creative, though, as far as assaults go. Also, that thing about being related to Sophia Loren.

3. How do you feel about legacy names like John Henry Smith IV or naming children after other relatives?
I didn't know it was possible to have an opinion on that. I like that bullshit where you name a kid after a relative, and then call them by their middle name instead. "We're going to name our baby after you, Granny Gertrude! PSYCH! Not really!"

4. Would you consider yourself and/or your family to be traditional?
Not really.

5. What is one tradition you have passed on to your children and/or plan to pass on to them?
Nicole Richie. (Also, St. Nicholas Day. Yeah, bitch, I get two Christmases and my parents aren't even divorced!)

FRIDAY FIVE FOR FEBRUARY 9TH: COLORS OF THE WHEEL:

1. If you were a crayon, which color would you want to be?

Navy.

2. Which color do you think you would be regardless of what you wanted?

One of those retarded ones that got named by 37-year-old ladies who really have no business participating in a crayon-naming contest. "Silver Wolf." Whatever, lady, stop reading Anne Rice.

3. Would you rather be used and get blunt, broken and lose your wrapper, or not be used and stay pristine?
Used crayons are cuter.

4. Would you rather be in a small set of crayons or a large set?

Small. The thin kind you tuck into the space between your notebooks and textbooks in your desk on the first day of school.

5. Would you rather be Crayola, or a different brand?
Nicole Richie. She's the size of a Crayola, right?

How do you feel about legacy names like John Henry Smith IV or naming children after other relatives?

My ex-bf's full name was Michael Patrick Henry Dalton... and he was Korean.

Why did I write that in the past tense, like he's dead now?

Srsly! Sometimes stuff gets so much hype that I decide right away that I won't like it, and then like three years later I realize it's awesome and why wasn't I watching American Idol from the very beginning, you know? Awesome.

I'm missing Lily Allen's concert right now. Because I didn't buy tickets (/don't wanna hang around looking for tickets outside...hard enough to go out when I've already GOT the tickets, right?).

Are you in Philly, then? Argh. Although I don't know how exciting a show she'd put on, what with the way she just stands there. I guess I'd be mesmerized enough by her shiny, shiny hair, though.

I miss ILX.
